JTEC was a ‘Showcase’ school at the national Ambitious, Excellent Technical Education conference held at the national stadium in June 2006. The teachers and pupils built a section of a timber-framed house and received many accolades from conference delegates. |

In 2006, the company won two major UK awards; The New Statesman/Edge ‘Upstarts’ Award for Social Enterprise and the Edge Learning Employer Award for promoting practical learning (£5,000 prize). |
